Have you ever thought that there are angels painting the boundless sky everyday?
Give a hand to the Rainbow Angel in Finding Rainbow and bring us back the joyful and hopeful colourful rainbow!

As in previous Childhood family concerts, HKPW will bring you a number of famous anime music. The highlights of the concert will be our self-written creative multi-media musical Finding Rainbow, which tells a story of a Rainbow Angel. It’s going to be a must-attend concert for kids while older kids and parents may also find their childhood memories and own rainbow-in-heart with us.

Also join the Finding Rainbow Colouring Contest! Be one of the Rainbow Angels and join us in finding our musical and colourful rainbow!

C for Clarinet
Clarinet recital by Johnny Fong Hiu-kai

Following our family concert Childhood 3 – Finding Rainbow, HKPW is glad to present C for Clarinet – solo recital by Johnny Fong Hiu-kai, Principal Clarinet of Hong Kong Sinfonietta. Clarinet has the largest pitch range in the woodwind family. With its high flexibility in sound, clarinet is well known as the Spellbinder in the Orchestra which expresses many musical characteristics on one single instrument. Clarinetists therefore require high level of technique and flexibility in musical sense to perform the instrument well. In a concert band, clarinets take the prominent role as the violins in an orchestra. In the C for Clarinet recital, Johnny is going to introduce you the musical charm of this Spellbinder in the Orchestra with various great clarinet music.

Jazzy Percussion

Date: 20 April 2012 (Friday)

Venue: Tsuen Wan Town Hall Cultural Activities Hall
Performers: Choy Lap-tak (percussion), Andrew Lau Pok-man (percussion),
       other local percussionists and a Jazz Ensemble

Percussion always provide a prominent rhythmic support to the band as well as creates many incredible sound effects in a piece. HKPW invites famous local percussionist Choy Lap-tak, our Principal Percussion Andrew Lau Pok-man as well as other local percussionists to perform in percussion ensembles in this recital. There will be a performance by a Jazz ensemble as well. The ensembles will come downstage and invite the audience to join their rhythmic music in passion. Maybe your applause will be louder than the drums and guitars in this wonderful recital!
